Coronavirus (COVID-19) Response

May 18, 2020 Update

Effective through September 2020

To Our Clients and Volunteers,

On May 13, Gov. Evers' Safer At Home Order was overturned by the Wisconsin Supreme Court. This means that business can begin to reopen.

Under the order, the Food Pantry continued to remain open as an essential service, only by modifying our distribution process to a drive-thru format.

For us it is not a matter of reopening, but a matter of continuing to do our best to keep both our clients and our volunteers safe.

The best way to protect our clients and volunteers, at least for now, is to continue under our current guidelines and operate in a drive-thur format. This will continue at least through September of this year.

Any changes will be posted on our Facebook page and this website.

We ask for your continued help and patience in helping us help you and in trying our best to keep everyone safe. To do this we ask that you observe the following guidelines.

    • Clients will not be allowed in the food pantry during this time. Pull in line along the curb on this side of street and remain in your car.

    • If you are sick, stay home, do not come to the pantry. Obtain and complete a proxy form so that someone else can pick up for you, if necessary.

    • If you normally come by taxi, we suggest an alternative, if possible, for someone else to bring you, so that you can wait in a car. You will not be allowed to enter or wait in the food pantry.

    • If the only way you can get here is by taxi please be patient, Berlin Taxi is doing their best to help us make sure that those in need can get their distributions.

    • We will be using the curbside by the pantry door for those being served.

PLEASE

    • Pull in line along the curb on this side (pantry side) of street and remain in your car.

    • Someone will come out to give you a number according to your place in line and get your information.

    • Your items will be prepared for you and brought out to your car.

Proxy forms will be passed out to everyone during distributions, but if you need one sooner please call 920-745-0357 or email berlinfoodpantry@gmail.comand we will make arrangements for you to get a form. If you have access to the internet and a printer, the form will also be made available on our website.

You must be a registered client in order to submit a proxy form.
